Three spaces, one adaptable venue.
Multiple seating options and areas mean The Smug Fig scales with you - a large brunch booking, afternoon drinks, a birthday, an engagement, or a full evening takeover.
Bifold walls that open the room to the street.
Two sides of bifold windows and doors create an inside-outside feel when opened up. Leave it furnished for a seated group, or cleared for standing and mingling - our purple neon sign sets the tone either way. A licensed outdoor area sits right alongside, next to the footpath.

Air-conditioned, under a 12-metre mural.
Past the bar, cushioned banquet seating runs beneath a striking 12m mural, framed by an eclectic gallery wall and chandeliers. A large TV handles slideshows or presentations, and a four-zone Sonos system lets you dial in the volume by area - or plug straight into a live performer's own equipment. Furniture moves easily between standing space and banquet-style seating.

How many guests can The Smug Fig hold?
Up to 90 seated or 130 standing across 180m² of indoor and outdoor space. We cater everything from a table of 12 to a full-venue event.
Is there a venue hire fee?
No. There's no charge to hire the space - your event is priced around a food and drink package that suits your group and occasion.
Can I book out the whole venue?
Yes - evenings are available for exclusive full-venue hire, with sole use of the front room, inside room and bar. Smaller groups can also reserve a large table within regular brunch service.
Is the bar fully licensed?
Yes. Four beers on tap, a large fridge range, quality wine and spirits, plus cocktails and spritzers available on request.
Is there parking on site?
Around 200 free carparks sit next door in the Aldi centre, with street parking and on-site accessible parking also available.
What events do you cater for?
Birthdays, engagements, baby showers, weddings, corporate functions, wakes, brunch celebrations and our monthly themed trivia nights are all regularly hosted here.
Do you serve alcohol at brunch?
Yes, we're fully licensed from 10:00am with brunch cocktails — Bloody Marys, mimosas and bellinis — plus a bottomless brunch option.
Can I use my own music or live entertainment?
Yes - our four-zone Sonos system lets you set volume by area, and it connects directly to a live performer's audio equipment. A large TV is also available for slideshows or presentations.
